Landspout Tornado Breezes Through Northern Ontario

EF-0 Twister Touches Down Near Northern Community

The weatherman says Ontario’s latest tornado was pretty weak. Environment Canada today confirmed an EF-0 twister touched down around 20km outside of New Liskeard on August 30th, marking the eighth tornado of the season. The twister did minimal damage when it struck around 3:30 that afternoon, as investigators estimate the wind speed to have been around 90km/h. They call it a landspout tornado, which typically do not last long, nor cause much damage.
