Jill Dunlop Announced Simcoe North Candidacy Bid
Looks like they’re trying to bring Simcoe North back into the family. Jill Dunlop this morning announced her candidacy for the Simcoe North Ontario PC Party nomination. You may recognize the name; her father, Garfield held onto the Simcoe North riding for about sixteen years, before giving up his MPP seat to PC leader Patrick Brown. In the 2018 provincial election, Brown is expected to run in a new Barrie-Springwater-Oro Medonte riding, while Jill Dunlop will thus far go toe-to-toe against former Orillia councillor Doug Downey for the Simcoe North riding’s nomination.
