LISTEN: Katy Perry’s new song “Rise”

Katy Perry surprised fans late Thursday night with new music! This comes just ahead of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. The powerful anthem “Rise” will be used as the soundtrack for NBC’s coverage of the games. “Roar” was used in the 2014 Sochi Olympics. I’m sensing a trend here…

I would be totally okay with having Katy Perry songs as the theme songs for every Olympic games! Love these messages of empowerment!
