Lorde Apologizes for a very poorly chosen reference to the late Whitney Houston. Lorde posted a photo of a bathtub to Instagram Friday afternoon with the caption “And iiii will always love you.”
“I will always love” is a very famous line and song title from the legendary Houston.
After the backlash, Lorde took to Twitter to express her sorrow…
“I’m so sorry for offending anyone, I hadn’t even put this together,” she said. “I was just excited to take a bath.”
She said her quote was “extremely, extremely poorly chosen” and called herself “an idiot”.
