Man In Custody After Two People Assaulted, Woman Threatened

A 27 year old man has been charged with Assault and Uttering threats after a violent spree late yesterday afternoon in east-end Barrie. Police say the man’s girlfriend was attacked at her home, her assailant driving off in her car. He stopped a few streets away where a man was punched in the head and threats were shouted at a woman who witnessed it. The accused then walked down the street punching and spitting at cars along the way. He was located back at the girlfriend’s house, putting up a fight as police led him away. It’s believed the man was under the influence of drugs.
