Man Wanted In Connection To Banking Scam

Police Say Two Fraudulent Bank Accounts and A Rubber Cheque Were Involved

An alleged scam artist was caught on camera. Barrie Police are on the hunt for a man they say created two fraudulent accounts at two separate banks in town between August 31st and September 2nd. The guy allegedly used those two accounts to try and cash a phony cheque to the tune of $7,000. The bank teller wasn’t buying it, however, and contacted police. The suspect is described as:

  • male
  • black
  • approx. 40-years-old
  • 5’11” – 6′
  • heavy set
  • unshaven

last seen wearing:

  • neon construction vest
  • white t-shirt
  • dark pants
  • baseball hat
  • glasses
