The Midland hospital today announced via media release a blood analysis machine was set to measure results in millilitre instead of litre, when testing for a protein the heart releases when it suffers damage. The sort of damage associated with a heart attack, and the measurements would be off on results from the last nine days. Hospital staff have corrected the problem, and are contacting those 120 patients affected that require retesting.
