New Transit Service In Penetanguishene

A new transit service starts rolling through Penetanguishene today. It’s a joint venture with the town of Midland connecting the two towns. There are numerous marked stops along the route in Penetanguishene, but if you’re standing in a safe place you can also flag the driver down. Adult fare is $2, $1.75 for students and seniors (exact change required), kids under 6 ride for free. There are also discount passes available – 20 rides for $25.00 – as well as an unlimited ride monthly pass for $100. There are three locations where the Penetanguishene Route and Midland Route intersect and provide free Transfer points:

• The Georgian Bay General Hospital – 1112 St Andrews Dr, Midland
• The Huronia Medical Centre Bus Shelter – 240 Penetanguishene Rd, Midland
• The Huronia Mall – County Rd 93, Midland

How do transfers work? A transfer must be requested at the time the fare is paid. One transfer is required per person. Transfers are imprinted with the date and time and are valid for 30 minutes from time of receipt on any Midland Penetanguishene Transit bus going any direction.
