Newmarket Man Busted Over Old Plate Sticker

DUI Charge Laid

An expired plate sticker tipped off police. Around 2:00 yesterday afternoon, South Simcoe Police saw the old validation sticker on a passing minivan through Bradford. When the officer stopped the vehicle, she says there was the smell of alcohol on the driver’s breath. His breathalyser results ended with a DUI charge, and the 60-year-old Newmarket man lost his license and his ride at least until his August court date.
