Newmarket Sexual Assaults Believed To Be Linked

York Regional Police are investigating five sexual assaults they believe are linked. Police say since mid-August, five women have been assaulted in the area of Newmarket’s Upper Canada Mall. The first three and the fifth victims reported a young man grabbed their buttocks. The fourth suspect says a man pushed her to the ground and tried to remove her clothes before the assault was interrupted by a passerby. Police say their suspect is in his early 20’s with a thin build, wearing a hoodie. Give York Regional Police a call if you’ve got any information.
