No Hydro Rate Increase This Fall

Electricity rates in Ontario will not be going up November 1, as they usually do. It’s the first time in eight years there will not be a Fall increase. The Ontario Energy Board says prices set last May are still in line with the updated forecast of supply. The announcement came as the provincial government passed legislation to remove the provincial portion of the HST from hydro bills come January should save the average customer about $130 a year.
