No Injuries As Live Wires Fall On Bus Near Waubaushene

Ten Kids Trapped On Bus For About An Hour

Police say the slushy weather in Waubaushene this morning may have helped cause a school bus to leave the road and strike a hydro pole. Southern Georgian Bay OPP say the collision brought down live wires onto the bus, trapping ten kids and a bus driver inside. They were in there for about an hour starting at 9:00 this morning, on Sand Hill Road near Highway 12, before emergency crews could cut the power and get the kids to safety. No charges have been laid, while the police investigation continues.
