When Drake announced the ‘Summer Sixteen Tour’ back in April, fans were able to splurge to purchase the “6 God Meet and Greet Package,” which offered a seat up close, a photo with Aubrey and an pile of Drake/6ix inspired swag. We are now learning that this package has been canceled due “logistical issues” for the “meet and greet” portion. After the very sad incident leading to the death of Christina Grimmie, many artists have been moving away from the personal sessions with their fans. There is no confirmation that this is the actual reason for why Drake has canceled that VIP package and offered a new one.
Aerosmith is planning a farewell tour!
Steven Tyler casually dropped a bombshell on The Howard Stern Show yesterday morning when he stopped by to promote his new solo album. Two months after Joe Perry dismantled the rumours about Aerosmith planning a farewell tour, Tyler has come out and said that it is indeed happening, and that his bandmate is aware. When asked to clarify if it was “an Aerosmith farewell, like ‘we’re gone for good’”, Tyler confirmed “yeah”, and said that Joe Perry knew it too. However, he did add that the “farewell” tour will probably go on “forever.”
TLC Making New Music!
T-Boz and Chilli, two-thirds of iconic girl group TLC, have reunited to work on a new album.
TLC’s manager Bill Diggins has confirmed that they “have 15 new songs to share soon” and that “the best is definitely yet to come,” reported NME. The release will be the first TLC album since 2002’s 3D, a eulogy for member Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes, who tragically died in a car crash earlier that year. 3D failed to match the commercial success of 1999’s FanMail, but served as a suitable goodbye to the group at the time. TLC have been able to make their new album independently after raising over $150,000 from fans through a Kickstarter campaign last year.
