North Barrie Fire ‘Suspicious’
Three units at construction site damaged
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office is investigating after an overnight fire in Barrie’s north end. Three, under-construction, student housing units suffered severe damage. No one was hurt. The fire was reported just after 1:30 a.m. At the height of the blaze there were six trucks and 24 firefighters on scene. Cause and estimate of damage have yet to be determined.
