Not Guilty In Freddie Gray Trial

One Officer Not Guilty On All Charges

A Baltimore judge has found Police Officer Edward Nero not guilty of all charges stemming from the April, 2015 death of resident Freddie Gray.  Nero, had been charged with second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and two counts of misconduct. Gray, suffered severe spinal cord injuries after he was put into the back of a police van and later died from his injuries.
His death sparked protests and rioting in Baltimore and has served as a rallying cry for the Black Lives Matter movement.
