Okay, Blue Jays!

Another Championship Banner For Rogers Centre

One title down, another to to go for the Toronto Blue Jays. They clinched the American League East Championship last night with a 15-2 win over the Orioles in game one of a doubleheader. Their sights are set now on the overall league championship. The magic number for snagging that is 3 with the Kansas City Royals sitting just a game back of the Jays. If Toronto can hang on to that lead they will meet the winner of the wildcard game in the first round of the playoffs, which begin next Thursday. If they finish second overall, they’ll face the American League West champs. There are four games left in the regular season – one more against Baltimore, and three this weekend in Tampa Bay.
