UPDATE: Charge Laid Following Fatal Collision

Innisfil Teen Succumbed To Injuries While In Hospital

Oct. 14th – South Simcoe Police say a driver in his 80’s has been charged with Fail To Avoid Collision on A Left Hand Turn, under the Highway Traffic Act.


July 12th – A collision between a motorcycle and a mini van this morning has left one person dead an another in hospital. Police say both the 16 year old driver and his 15 year old passenger were thrown from the motorcycle after they collided with the minivan at the intersection of Yonge St and County Rd 89. The 16 year old Innisfill teen was taken to hospital where he later died of his injures. The 15 year old was transported to a Trauma center in Toronto and his injuries are described as serious. South Simcoe Police say the 85 year old driver of the van received minor injuries. Officers are now looking for witnesses into the collision and ask that you call them or Crime Stoppers. The intersection had been shut down to traffic for close to 5 hours while police were investigating.
