One Orillia Pedestrian Airlifted To Toronto Hospital, Another Treated As a Precaution

Two Pedestrian-Involved Crashes in Less Than A Week in Orillia

Two pedestrians in Orillia have been sent to hospital after being struck days apart. The OPP were called to Peter Street North around 4:30 last Friday afternoon, claiming a woman had suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle. She was first taken to Soldiers’ Memorial, later airlifted to Toronto hospital where she remains in serious but stable condition. Officers on patrol say they came across a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle, shortly before 6:00 Tuesday afternoon. The pedestrian in this case was taken to local hospital as a precaution. No charges have been laid in either case, but reports of these two collisions come as Springwater police charge a 16-year-old boy in connection to a pedestrian-involved collision.
