Orillia Trash Plan Up For Resident Scrutiny

City Asking For Feedback on Draft Waste Minimization Plan

Orillia is taking out the trash, and they want your feedback. The City says their Five-Year Waste Minimization Plan is now available for a two-week public review period. The plan aims to reduce waste at the Orillia landfill through diversion and recycling programs, and will be up for review by the public until May 2nd. Orillia is hoping to get feedback on such issues as recycling diapers, setting up diversion depots and the landfill, and providing free composts to residents. For more information, including a copy of the plan, visit Orillia’s website.
