Parry Sound – Muskoka MP Throws Hat Into the Ring

Tony Clement To Run for Leader of Conservative Party of Canada

A familiar face to some is taking a shot at Canada’s top Tory spot. Parry Sound Muskoka MP Tony Clement yesterday announced he’s launching a bid for Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. He’s had a few titles under his belt before that, including President of the Treasury Board, Minister of Health and Industry too.  He’ll go up against Maxime Bernier, Michael Chong, and Simcoe Grey’s Kellie Leitch, in a bid to relieve interim party leader Rona Ambrose, who filled in for Stephen Harper after he stepped down.
