Hockey Hall of Famer and Barrie resident, Mike Gartner put together a tournament called Hockey Helps the Homeless and the 5th edition is happening March 1st in Barrie.
This is a tournament that truly helps those in need within our community. Through our daily lives we don’t see it, but many people are living on the street and battling addictions, but a place like the David Busby Centre gets them back on their feet.
The David Busby Centre & Redwood Park Communities rely on donations from events like Hockey Helps the Homeless to not only operate but also grow. This year the Barrie Motel Conversion Project will benefit from donations.
On March 1st I’ll be lacing up my skates alongside some past NHL Stars and people within Simcoe County trying to make a difference. Your generous donation no matter how big or small can be a game changer!
