Piping Plover Program at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park

When the Piping Plovers returned to Wasaga Beach in 2008, this was the first time they had nested in ONTARIO is over 70 years.  With only three nesting sites in the entire province of Ontario (i.e., Wasaga Beach, Sauble Beach and Darlington Provincial Park) it is imperative that we protect the Piping Plover from human disturbance during a time in which they are the most vulnerable.

Volunteers are the backbone of the program and without the help from this dedicated team, the entire process would not be feasible.

Training takes place on Thursday, May 26th at 6:00pm in Wasaga Beach
