Police Go Sewer Diving To Investigate Barrie Home Invasion

OPP Called In To Help Sniff Out Clues In The Sewer

You may have spotted some police officers heading into the sewer in Barrie this morning. Barrie Police Constable Sarah Bamford tells us the OPP were called in to assist in the search for evidence into a late December 2014 home invasion. Three men have been charged and are before the courts, following the December 27th incident that saw four people injured. Police say three men burst into a Barrett Cres. home armed with a handgun, shotgun, and pepper spray, and assaulted residents there. Police were in the Sophia St. sewer near Peel St. this morning in the search for evidence to bring to the trial for this crime.
