Proposed Health Hub In Midland Under Fire
Group files appeal with OMB
A Midland group has launched an Ontario Municipal Board Appeal against the rezoning of land at Edgehill Park to allow Waypoint Centre and community health provider Chigamik to build a health hub. OurMidland.ca says it supports both organizations, but is opposed to what it calls an “opportunistic land grab” and the loss of waterfront green space. It also worries about the possibility of future expansion eating up more of the waterfront park. It wants town council to take a second look at the proposal.
