Public Elementary Teachers, Queen’s Park To Talk Contract Again

Talks to resume under threat of rotating strikes

Talks are going to resume between public elementary teachers and the province. Education Minister Liz Sandals reached out Tuesday, expressing concern about the impact of rotating strikes the teachers had threatened to begin in October. The elementary teachers federation was quick to respond, saying it’s been ready to return to the bargaining table since talks broke off two weeks ago. It is the only teacher group yet to work out a deal with Queen’s Park. A date for talks has yet to be determined.
