UPDATE: Puppies Pooched From Barrie OSPCA, Two Returned

Three taken, one since returned

Aug. 18, 1:30pm –  A stray dog found wandering around Innisfil has been ID’d as one of three stolen from the Barrie OSPCA over the weekend. The Jack Russell Terrier and two others were taken during a B&E to the animal shelter, while one was sneakily returned Sunday afternoon. A third is still out there, a shepherd/husky/collie mix who just had surgery, and still needs pain medication.

Aug. 17, 1030am – Barrie Police are looking for help tracking two of three dogs that were taken overnight Saturday from the OSCPA on Patterson Road. Entry was gained through a window. The three dogs were taken from the adoption room. One was returned Sunday afternoon by a woman who left the dog in the lobby and left without speaking to anyone. Police would like to have chat with her. She drove off in a white Honda SUV.

The Barrie Police are investigating a break and enter that occurred at the Ontario OSPCA, located at 91 Patterson Road, in the City of Barrie.

The missing dogs are described as:

Jack Russell Terrier Mix – Rosco (6yrs.Old)

  • Male, neutered
  • White and black in colour
  • Approx. 22lbs.

Shepherd Mix – Nala (2yrs. Old)

  • Female, spayed
  • Black in colour
  • Approx. 44lbs.
