Reminder From Police After Long Weekend Out On The Water

Reminder Comes As Eighteen Charges Handed Out

Police weren’t just focusing on the roads over the long weekend; South Simcoe Police also had their boat out on the waterover the holiday weekend. They’ve since run the numbers and say today 18 charges were laid on the weekend, prompting police to remind everyone you need a life jacket on board for each passenger, and boaters must comply with all fishing regulations. Police also point out a flat battery is the number one cause of vessel malfunction, meaning listening to the radio while you fish might mean getting a tow to shore at the end of the day.
