Rio 2016 Proves Once Again…. #ItsKoolToBeKind!!!
This is what true sportsmanship is all about
Just imagine… You’ve been training your entire life to compete in Rio 2016. So when you and a fellow runner trip and fall, do you stay to help them up, or catch up with the rest of the pack?
That’s exactly what happened to Abbey D’Agnostino (US) and Nikki Hamblin (NZ) in the 5km race.
After the race, the two shared an emotional hug, showing what true sportsmanship is all about.
Hamblin said, “I’m so grateful for Abbey for doing that for me. I mean, that girl is the Olympic spirit right there. I’ve never met her before… Isn’t that just so amazing?”
