Victim in serious but stable condition

THURSDAY – Barrie Police are asking witnesses to come forward as they continue to investigate a car-pedestrian collision Wednesday. A flagman working at Mulcaster and Penetang Streets was struck. he was airlifted to hospital. Police the vehicle involved, driven by a 90-year old man, was a black Lincoln MKX SUV. WEDNESDAY – A man has been airlifted to a Toronto Hospital in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle in the downtown area. Barrie Police say the intersection of Mulcaster and Penetang St’s has reopened but crews are on site. The collision happened around 10:30 this morning. The victim is said to be a 65 year old City of Barrie employee, who was working on the road at the time of the collision. Barrie Police say the investigation is ongoing and its not known if charges will be involved.
