‘Saved By The Bell’ Reboot Will Feature A Transgender Star!

Former cast member of the original show, Elizabeth Berkley confirmed a reboot last September, leaving fans excited and wondering who will take part in the reboot.

We are hearing that some original cast members will be a part of the new show and a new character will be introduced.

Lexi, will be played by actress Josie Totah, who is transgender.

Jessie and Slater are all grown up and will be back!  Mark-Paul Gosselaar will return as Governor Zack Morris. But its Totah’s role that has everyone talking.

Totah will play Lexi, described in press notes as “a beautiful, sharp-tongued cheerleader and the most popular girl at Bayside High” who is both “admired and feared” by her classmates, similar to Tiffani Thiessen’s Kelly Kapowski in the original show. News of Totah’s casting comes just two years after the 18-year-old, came out as transgender.
