Sharon Stone has pulled the plug on a film project in Mississippi, insisting she won’t work in a state that discriminates against gays and lesbians. In an open letter to the Mississippi Film Studios, Sharon explains that she cannot do business in the state after lawmakers passed the controversial anti-LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) Religious Liberty bill. Rocker Bryan Adams has announced he is canceling his gig at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi on April 14 because of the new legislation. Meanwhile, Ringo Starr and Bruce Springsteen have scrapped gigs in nearby North Carolina over another controversial new law that restricts the rights of transgender people.

Cyndi Lauper is refusing to cancel her upcoming gig in the state, but she will be handing over all proceeds from the June 4 show to Equality North Carolina, an organization fighting to overturn the legislation.

A Rihanna documentary is in the works.

According to Deadline, Peter Berg, who directed “Battleship,” will produce and direct the documentary. The movie is about Rihanna, the international superstar as she navigates life as an artist, businesswoman, and humanitarian, while contending with the inherent pressure of artistic freedom. The film is yet to receive a release date. and speaking of Rihanna…..Rihanna has tied a Beatles chart record in the U.S. by scoring her 59th week at number one. “Work” has landed an eighth week on top, putting her 20 weeks behind number one queen Mariah Carey. Rihanna has also edged ahead of Michael Jackson to claim the third-most number ones of all-time in America.
