Britain appears ready to proceed with legislation that would make the employer responsible for the ‘sins’ of its staff – including money laundering, false accounting and fraud. This is a leftover from former Prime Minister David Cameron, who said in May corporate corruption was “one of the greatest enemies to progress” in today’s economy. The plan, reported in The Times, has yet to be officially announced. It’s intended to encourage bosses to do more to prevent their staff from engaging in wrongdoing.
