SIU Clears Barrie Police Officer Of Wrongdoing During Pursuit

Witness Video Of Incident Key In Exoneration

No charges for a Barrie Police officer involved in a pursuit where the suspect was hurt. The SIU has cleared the officer of responsibility, after they say the suspect sped off from police before having his car t-boned while running a stop sign, then taking off on foot and falling eight meters to the ground after jumping a retaining wall. The incident is alleged to have happened on November 11th of last year. Witness cell video of the whole thing helped clear the officer, while the 20-year-old suspect spent some time in hospital before heading to court.
