Slew Of Charges for Angus Man Driving Girlfriend’s Car

Police Say He Didn't Have Permission To Take Car, Or Goods From Local Store

An Angus man is in hot water with the law and his lady friend after an arrest in Barrie. Police got the call to the Wellington St. Shopper’s Drug Mart with reports a shoplifter was sitting in a car in the parking lot, yesterday morning. Police spoke to the guy, who they say was still in possession of the stolen goods he swiped from the store. Further investigation found the vehicle wasn’t his, it was his girlfriends. But police say he didn’t have permission to take it. Moreover, they add he was under two driving suspensions. The 34-year-old man is facing a slew of charges as a result.
