Social Media Helps Bag Gas and Plate Theft Suspect

Tips from the public helped put the cuffs on a guy accused of stealing gas and license plates. Barrie police say someone filled the tank at a south end gas bar on April 14th, and took off. Surveillance video showed plates that had been reported stolen, attached to a vehicle they shouldn’t be on. After the call for help went out on social media, police say a few tips helped them point the finger at a suspect, a 26-year-old Wasaga Beach man has since been charged.
