Springwater Campaigners Banned From Taking Some Donations

Springwater Council is getting ahead of the province. At their latest meeting, council decided to do away with corporate election sponsors, if the province gives them the go ahead. The province is working in legislation now that would restrict municipal candidates from taking campaign donations from corporations, and Springwater now says if it passes, they’ll use the legislation to restrict certain donations. Barrie recently passed a similar motion.
