Summer Arrives Tonight, So Does A Strawberry Moon

First time in 30 years

Harvest Moon. Blood Moon. How about a Strawberry Moon? There hasn’t been one in 30 years. 1986 was the last time we had a full moon on the first day of summer in central Canada. A Strawberry Moon is not necessarily pink or red, however. It’s simply a name given to the full moon each June, which coincides with the start of the strawberry season. Summer arrives at 6:34pm.
