Suspect Injured During Newmarket Home Invasion

An injured man has been charged following a home invasion in Newmarket. York Regional Police got the call to a basement apartment on Kingston Road around 11:00 last night, with reports of a home invasion robbery. Police arrived to find five people there, two of them suffering from injuries. The two men were taken to hospital while police say investigation later found one of the two was behind the home invasion. A 25-year-old Newmarket man is facing charges of Armed Robbery and Assault.
