Teen Charged With Assaulting Police in Innisfil
Woman also assaulted
A 15-year-old boy is facing numerous charges after a South Simcoe Police officer was assaulted in Innisfil.
Police were called Saturday night to an address on Innisfil Beach Road near St Johns Sideroad after reports of a youth staggering in the street.
Officers found two males, ages 15 and 20 and “visibly intoxicated”.
They were driven to the to the younger males home where a woman inside was subsequently assaulted.
The officer was hurt while trying to take the suspect into custody. he did not require medical treatment.
The 15-year-old youth has been charged with Break and Enter and Assault with Intent To Resist Arrest.
The 20-year-old man was charged with Public Intoxication.
The investigation is ongoing.
