Teens Tone Down Texting While Driving

Study Finds Fewer Doing It

There are signs the message about texting and driving is getting through – to teens at least. Researchers at University of Regina talked to teens in 2012 and 2014and found the number who sometimes or almost always texted while driving fell to 6 per cent from 27 per cent. Why? The top reason researchers heard was the perceived danger and irresponsibility. Some mentionned the fines, some said they had seen or been involved in close calls or collisions related to texting and driving.
