The Bell Tolls for Avicii
An historic church tower in the Netherlands plays his music.
Swedish DJ Avicii passed away on April 20th at age 28.
On April 21st, 2018, a church in Utrecht, The Netherlands paid tribute to a life cut short by playing his music on the church bells.
The songs are “Wake Me Up” and “Without You”. Supposedly “Hey Brother” was also played but not caught on film.

This tower stands in the very spot that, almost 2000 years ago, the City of Utrecht originated. The tower, now a free standing structure, was part of the Cathedral of St. Martin, built between 1321 and 1382. It was attached to the nave, which was unfinished, due to lack of funds. The unfinished nave collapsed in 1674, leaving the tower on its own. The 50 bells are rung by members of the Utrecht Klokkenluiders Gilde.
