The Canadian Musical “Come From Away” Is Now Being Adapted Into A Movie

If you can't get tickets to the show, you will soon be able to see it on the big screen.

The Tony Award-winning show is set in Gander, N.L., in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks. The tiny town provided refuge to 6,579 passengers and crew from 38 planes that were diverted when U.S. airspace was closed.

The husband and wife team that wrote the book, music, and lyrics, Irene Sankoff and David Hein- will also pen the screenplay.

The show has been on Broadway for a while now but will return with an all Canadian cast Feb. 13th at the Royal Alexandre Theatre.
