BARRIE POLICE SERVICE

Barrie Police Service are requesting the public’s assistance in a distraction theft where a male and female worked as a team to steal multiple bottles of liquor. On Monday, March 26th, 2018 police were called to the LCBO located at 587 Cundles Road East, in the City of Barrie, in regards to a theft that had just occurred.  Review of video surveillance showed a female suspect distract employees while a male suspect filled a bag with liquor bottles.  The duo left the store separately but were seen fleeing together in a black Mazda hatchback.

Description Suspect #1:

• Female, white
• 40 to 50-years-old
• Blonde, shoulder length hair

Description Suspect #2:

• Male, white
• 40 to 50-years-old
• Shaved head, balding
• Wearing black, green & white Arctic Cat racing jacket and bright orange construction pants

SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE SERVICE

On Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 5:42 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service received a call from a citizen regarding an erratic driver northbound on Yonge St. at Highway 89 in Innisfil. Police responded and a vehicle was pulled over north of Innisfil Beach Rd. As a result, a 24-year-old Innisfil man was charged with Refuse Breath Test. His vehicle was seized was towed. South Simcoe Police Service applauds citizens who report erratic and suspected impaired drivers. Road safety is a top priority for us. #makingadifference

On Wednesday, March 28, 2018 around 6 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service was called to a home in Bradford regarding a Break and Enter. The residents reported arriving home at 5:30 p.m. to find the front door had been kicked in. The K9 unit was called to the scene to ensure the suspect was not still inside. The homeowner reported that some items were missing. A canvass of the street revealed that a neighbour heard a banging noise around 11:30 a.m. Investigation is continuing. South Simcoe Police Service is urging citizens to be vigilant in their neighourhoods and report any suspicious people or activity. We can work together to keep our communities safe.

On Tuesday, March 27, 2018 just before 4 p.m., a South Simcoe Police Service officer was at Bradford District High School on Professor Day Drive in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. The officer
spoke with a man who had parked his vehicle behind the officer in the school parking lot. The officer noted the odour of alcohol coming from the drivers breath and after confirming his identity demanded that he provide a sample of his breath for analysis for alcohol. An Approved Screening Device was used, and after numerous attempts a fail was registered. The wife, teenage daughter and infant son all had to make their way home while the male was processed at the South Simcoe Police Service South Division. A 41-year-old Bradford man was charged with over 80 mg. His licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 7 days.
