SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE SERVICE
South Simcoe Police are seeking assistance from the public in locating a vehicle involved in a Hit and Run collision that occurred on Collings Ave around 12:45 am. A black Chevrolet pickup, possibly a Silverado was southbound on Collings Avenue and struck a parked Ford 150 pickup truck causing substantial damage. The driver of the Chevrolet failed to remain and was last seen southbound on Collings Ave. The Chevrolet pickup truck will have substantial damage to the front of the vehicle, including missing the front grill and one headlight. Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have observed this vehicle on either Maplegrove Avenue or Collings Ave in Bradford this morning to please contact the investigating officer, Constable Andrew Smith at (905)775-3311 extension 1411 or Crime Stoppers.
On Monday October 09, 2017 the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a Break and Enter at a local business on Colborne Street East in the City of Orillia. At approximately 1:40 am members of the Orillia OPP were dispatched to a Break and Enter at a local business on Colborne Street East. Upon arrival officers found the business had been broken into and several items removed. Initial investigation revealed the suspect had left shortly before police arrived. The suspect was captured on security cameras and the video was provided to police to assist with the investigation. Suspect is described as:
- Caucasian Male.
- Long Brown hair.
- Light amount of facial hair.
- Monster Energy hat worn backwards.
- Yellow Sweater
- Black Puma Shoes
- Black Pants

HURONIA WEST OPP
On October 19, 2017 at approximately 5:30 p.m., a member of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report that motor vehicle was driving erratically and was now stopped in a laneway off of Saint Vincent Street. Upon arrival Police discovered that this motor vehicle had been reported stolen from the Town of Collingwood earlier that day. In addition an OPP investigation reveal that two males had been in possession of this motor vehicle one a 26 year old male was arrested at scene and the second male a 16 year old was located and arrested a short distance away by a member of the OPP Central Region Traffic Unit. Charged with “Possession Property Obtained By Crime – Under $5000” is a 26 year old from Collingwood, Ontario. First appearance is November 21, 2017 at the Court of Justice in the Town of Collingwood, Ontario. Police have also charged a 16 year old male from Barrie, Ontario with “Possession Property Obtained By Crime – Under $5000”. First appearance is December 7, 2017 at the Court of Justice in the Town of Collingwood, Ontario.
