Three Arrests After Three Crimes in Barrie

Fraud, Theft, and B&E Charges Laid

Barrie Police crossed a few cases off their to-do list with a pair arrests. First off, one man is facing 34 B&E-related charges following a series of Break and Enters around Barrie through March and April, notably the Papa Joe’s on Dunlop St. and Mary Brown’s Chicken on Wellington St. in early April. The 26-year-old Toronto man was already in a GTA detention centre when police laid charges.

Meanwhile, a 27-year-old Barrie man facing a Fraud charge, after investigators say a fraudulent credit card was used to buy over $50,000 worth of furnace and air conditioning equipment.

Barrie Police add a shopper was arrested Tuesday, after it’s said Loss Prevention Officers at Cabella’s noticed the guy  wearing clothing with Old Navy tags still on. Security video backed up the claim the suspect changed in Old Navy and kept going. He’s up on charges now.
