Vigil In Barrie Following Massacre at Florida Gay Nightclub

Everyone Welcome To Help Remember Victims Of Orlando Attack

A vigil will be held in Barrie in the wake of a massacre at an Orlando gay club. Everyone is welcome at the gathering planned for 7:30 Tuesday evening at Barrie City Hall. “Just a day after our celebration in Barrie, we are horrified by the shootings Orlando,” said Barrie Pride Chair David Bradbury. “We come together to share our grief and to unite in solidarity with victims of anti-LGBT hate everywhere it exists.” Among those expected to attend are Barrie Mayor Jeff Lehman, MPP Ann Hoggarth, representatives from Barrie, Simcoe, and Georgian Pride, along with the Gilbert Centre, and the Barrie Police Service.
