Wasaga Beach Among Top 10 Beaches In Canada – Chatelaine
B.C. beach tops the list
Wasaga Beach is one of three Ontario beaches to crack the top ten on Chatelaine Magazine’s list of best places to sun and swim in Canada. It’s at #7. Chatelaine noting “This popular stretch of shore on Georgian Bay plays host to over two million people each year at its eight beaches. This Blue-Flag-rated spot has great water, sand and sun, and the people watching will make your head spin. Main beaches one and two are livelier (think lifeguard championships and soap-box derbies), while the rest offer more family-friendly amenities and playgrounds.” Beaches in Cobourg (#4) and at Sandbanks Provincial Park (#10) were also in the top ten. Skaha Beach in Penticton, British Columbia was #1 on the list.
