Wasaga Beach Gives First Approval to Budget

Decision Won't Be Ratified Until January

The average Wasaga Beach resident is in for a 62 dollar increase to the property tax bill. This comes as council has given initial approval to the 2018 operating and capital budget. Wasaga Beach residents will see an estimated 2.97% increase to the municipal property taxes, thanks to the $54 million budget that has funds earmarked for enhanced community events, and $2.8 million towards the downtown project next year. The final budget won’t be approved until late January.
