Wasaga Beach Now in Control Of Beaches 1 and 2

Negotiation Takes Authority from Province, Gives it to Town

The Town of Wasaga Beach gets more say over what happens on its waterfront. A negotiation between the town and the province has all wrapped up, giving the town authority to manage and operate sections of Beach Area 1 and 2. Before this agreement, the province had authority over the beaches, but now the town has control over which activities, special events, and programming take place at the two locations. Wasaga Beach is now responsible for maintenance of the two beaches, with a total operating cost of just over $186,000.
