De Grasse (and his mom!) we're blown away by the show of support
It was a huge party at the airport as Rio2016 athletes, including Andre De Grasse, arrived home from the Summer Games. “I’ve never experienced anything like this,” he said of the crowds of press and fans who were there to greet them at arrivals.
Bringing home one silver and two bronze medals, it was unclear who was more blown away by his success… Andre De Grasse or his mom! “I have a whole nation to support me. It’s just incredible to have Canada supporting me all the way through it. They’ve motivated me and helped me through this whole journey.”
The 21-year-old will return to his home in Markham, and no doubt will begin training for the 2020 Summer Games soon!
